ITS Migrations

While working at RIT Information Technology Services I migrated many institute sites from their old web environment to their new one. Migrating a site entailed:

  • moving the files from the old server to a staging server
  • fixing file permissions
  • converting all PHP3 scripts so that they would work in PHP5 with no errors or warnings
  • editing links to conform with the new URL structure
  • making sure all links worked, validating the pages (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)
  • moving the files from the staging server to the production server.

Below is a partial list of sites I migrated while working at RIT ITS; there are more, these are just the ones I can confirm I worked on. Please note that by now these sites have most likely been edited by someone else.
